Stefania Vichi

Through her work, Vichi invites the viewer to engage with the idea of problem solving, offering a dialogue between complexity and hope. The sculpture thus becomes a tool for reflection, not only aesthetic but also existential. Her works are characterized by the movement of drapery that flows across the form, creating its unique plasticity through a true sartorial process, preserving that sense of continuous and visceral flow—of twisted, confined bodies seeking an "exit" that explodes into spheres, breaking even the edges of the canvas, going beyond the boundaries of the frame, symbolically shattering the cages of perception. The swollen and marked surfaces speak of impact with dead ends. The open holes, instead, become thresholds of salvation: solutions, glimpses, possibilities for transformation.
