More about William Zanghi
At the heart of the William Zanghi's artistic exploration lies the landscape, conceived as an almost surreal dimension: islands at the edge of the world, woods and gardens inhabited by slender, barely sketched figures — men suspended in a perpetual state of indecision between leaving and staying.
In his works, the human being takes on a dynamic role — at times dominant, at times overwhelmed — with no clear hierarchy between humans, animals, and nature. Every element contributes to a painterly production that often becomes a metaphor for the ruin inherent in the act of searching.
A distinctive feature of his technique is the use of industrial paints nearing liquefaction. This material “chaos” breaks apart and reassembles through the colored dots that characterize many of his canvases, creating a unique and profound visual dialogue.
